"Test Jog" Results

I went on a 12 mile trail run at Estrella Mountain Regional Park this weekend. Other than the heat in the exposed areas and a couple of monster climbs, it was a fun time. Here's the elevation profile.

Now 2 days later, my gait is  off when I "test jog" around the house. This is beyond my usual post-trail run soreness - I've injured my calf. Remembering my lesson from past injuries, I am actually going to rest a few days before running again. The Javalina 12 Hour Night run is in under 2 weeks from now. Great way to start tapering, I guess!

Feel better! I can't believe you ran 12 miles on trails. That's just craziness.

Those are some serious hills! Good job! Sorry about the calf though. I sure hope it is feeling better after a little rest. :)

Oh My those hills look brutal!!! I have just recovered from a calf injury. I ended up getting "the stick" and it truely helped alot but mostly it was all the rest I had to do :( 12 hour night run...wowza. I can't wait to hear all about it.

Hills are the bane of my existence. They're what started this stupid injury of mine and now look what they've done to you. Hills are not my friends!

You are very smart to take it easy at this time!
